GAN plc is one of the leading casino software developers and providers of B2B gaming software to many of the biggest gaming operators in the world. The company recently announced that it would be extending its partnership with US Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) provider FanDuel which will enable GAN to significantly expand its presence across America.
GAN signed a partnership agreement with FanDuel which is one of the two biggest DFS providers in America. The partnership was signed in 2013 and allowed the two companies to work together to offer online gambling services in New Jersey.
With Pennsylvania legalizing online gambling and West Virginia moving forward with sports betting legalization, FanDuel is poised to enter both markets and establish its brand. To do this, the DFS operator has extended its partnership with GAN who will play a key role in helping FanDuel provide online casino and sports betting services in these two states. The new partnership runs from 2019 to 2024.
In a statement, Dermot Smurfit, CEO of GAN said
The contract extension combined with US Patent licensing represents a significant milestone in GAN’s US evolution and reinforces our view that in the heavily regulated US online gambling market, effective and compliant ‘platforms’ are a premium component of the supply chain rather than a commodity
GAN which is listed on both the Irish and London Stock Exchanges will stand to benefit as new revenues will come in via patent licensing fees and professional services. The company is also in partnership with the Parx Casino in Pennsylvania and will be keen on expanding into two states as they push forward with sports betting legalization.
GAN Patented Technology
One of the main features of GAN’s software is its patented technology that allows gaming operators to provide their patrons with the option of linking their loyalty cards with their online gambling accounts. This enables patrons to accumulate loyalty rewards from their online gaming accounts and then later use those reward points at land based venues.
GAN remains confident that its patented software technology will enable it to gain more clients in the United States. Given the fact that there are close to 15 states who are debating the possibility of sports betting legalization, there is a lot of opportunity for GAN to become a major player in the US market.
