Goalkeeper
Jack Butland – Stoke City vs Aston Villa – $4,100
I like the look of Butland this week. He has taken a massive hike in price this week, which happens to any keeper who is facing Aston Villa at home.
Villa are really struggling, and I don’t see an away game at the Britannia bringing any joy this week.
Stoke haven’t been in the best form as of late, but did beat AFC Bournemouth last time out. I don’t see Butland being required to make too many saves in this one, but a win and clean sheet are highly likely.
Defender
Baba Rahman – Southampton vs Chelsea – $2,200
So long as John Terry remains out for this game, Baba Rahman should be getting the start.
If this happens, the young left back is a must play in all formats this week.
You won’t find many starting full backs at this price all season, so take advantage when you can.
The youngster started last week against PSG and featured in our selected UCL picks earning himself a respectable 9 FPS, over 4x value.
Chelsea don’t have the easiest matchup this week against in-form Southampton, but at this price it won’t take much to make Rahman worth selecting.
Midfielder
Yannick Bolasie – West Bromwich Albion vs Crystal Palace – $5,000
Again, Bolasie isn’t guaranteed a start in this one. He came back from injury in last weekends 1-0 win over Tottenham in the FA cup with a 14 minute cameo off the bench.
He has had another week to work on his fitness so he has more of a chance to start this game.
The only risk with him this week is he is almost certainly not going to play much more than an hour, even if he does start. But, even in an hour this man can make value, especially against West Brom.
The Baggies are really struggling of late, even losing to Championship mid-table Reading last weekend. Bolasie could also really take advantage of West Brom’s defensive injury problems, as he loves to run at defenders and I can see the defender who potentially will come up against him struggling.
Forward
Emmanuel Adebayour – WBA vs CRY – $4,500
Adebayour marked his return to action in the Premier League with a goal in his third appearance for new team Crystal Palace.
After being frozen out at Tottenham Hotspur and struggling to find another club, Adebayour made his move to Crystal Palace at the end of last month.
He has played relatively well, and his a proven goal scorer at this level.
He doesn’t have much to go off in terms of fantasy data, but at this price and against this defence, Adebayour surely represents some value this week.
