The winning lines over the last week or so for tournaments has been unbelievable. Usually the target is to aim for around 300 points and you should be cashing pretty highly, however the past few nights 300 isn’t getting you anywhere near the minimum cash line! 400 points have been needed to take down GPP’s and even some double ups have needed 350+ FPS to cash.
The reason for this is that teams are starting to rest key players, meaning cheaper players are seeing extended minutes, meaning they hit up to 10 times value. Then when the chalk plays also go off on the night, the cash line just keeps rising and rising.
The best thing to do is to always be aware of team and injury news up until the games start. There seems to be so much value going around but you have to check the lineups sometimes even minutes before the game starts. If you can’t be prepared to do that and you play at DraftKings, you can almost say goodbye to your money. With that said, here are my picks for tonight.
Guards
Kyle Lowry (Brooklyn Nets vs Toronto Raptors) – $8,800
Lowry has been on fire lately, which has seen his price tag increase pretty substantially.
He always hovered around the 8k mark, but now he is almost at 9. He has had some huge nights recently, including a 70 FPS performance against the Cavs. He was slightly disappointing in his last outing, a loss to Houston at home. He still managed a respectable 42 FPS off only 10 field goal attempts.
We should expect him and the Raptors to bounce back tonight against the worst team in the league, the Brooklyn Nets.
Zach LaVine (San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves)- $5,800
LaVine is finally finding some consistency, and considering his price has dropped $200 overnight, I think he is defiantly in play tonight.
He has been hitting 30 FPS religiously over the last 6 nights, with his scores on ranging from 30 FPS to 34.75 FPS. If you are playing cash games it’s hard to ignore a floor like that, especially when his price has also dropped.
He doesn’t have the greatest game tonight against the Spurs, but I would still expect him to make value.
Centres
Karl Anthony-Towns (San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves) – $7,900
Another player to have a price drop is KAT, namely because of the matchup but what can’t this man do right now. Karl was one of our picks against Toronto Raptors.
His floor is just too high for his price to leave him out of GPP’s tonight, but I would be more hesitant in cash games.
The rookie has gone from strength to strength and it will be interesting to see how he performs against the stout Spurs defence.
