Goalkeeper
Joel Robles (Everton vs West Brom) -$4,100
Joel Robles should keep his number one spot for the weekend with Tim Howard expected to miss a third game with a knee injury. Robles has done fantastically well whilst deputising for the crocked American, keeping 2 clean sheets in 2 Everton wins, scoring him 16 points a piece.
Everton should dominate this match up against West Brom, so I would expect another win and a possible clean sheet for Robles.
Defender
Branislav Ivanovic (Chelsea vs Newcastle) – $4,300
In what is a hard week for drafting defenders, Ivanovic looks like a good pick. The right back has scored at least 10 points in 3 out of his last 4 games and provided one assist in that time.
I would expect Chelsea to have much of the possession and plenty of the ball in the final third, which will give the Serb opportunities to get forward and deliver some crosses into the box.
I can also see Newcastle struggling to find the net in this game, which would give Ivanovic a good chance of adding to his tally with the clean sheet bonus.
Midfielder
Ross Barkley (Everton vs West Brom) – $6,600
Barkley’s recent DFS form has been particularly underwhelming.
Apart from a massive 37.5 FPS performance against Newcastle at the start of the month, the midfielder hasn’t scored above 7.5 points in 6 games.
However, I think a home match up against West Brom is the perfect game for him. West Brom are fairly slow in defence, which Barkley will thrive upon.
In what I am expecting to be a comfortable Everton win, I would expect the young Englishman to have a real influence on this game.
Michail Antonio. (Norwich vs West Ham) – $4,800
Antonio is playing great football right now. In 5 of his last 7 games, the winger has scored at least 10 points, and has also bagged himself 3 goals in that time.
He also scored in midweek against Liverpool in a FA Cup replay.
He comes up against a Norwich team who are very fragile in defence, and I would expect West Ham to win the game comfortably.
If you have a little more money to spend, Dimitri Payet ($7,700) will also be a great pick this weekend.
Forwards
Diego Costa (Chelsea vs Newcastle) – $6,800
Costa has finally found some goalscoring form as of late.
He has 6 goals in his last 7 games, including the late equalising goal against Man Utd last weekend.
The Spaniard should get at least a handful of chances in this game against Newcastle at home, especially with the side finally finding some form.
Benik Afobe (Bournemouth vs Stoke) – $4,800
If you want a mid priced striker this week, Benik Afobe is probably top of the pile.
The striker has scored 3 goals in his first 5 appearances in the Premier league for the Cherries.
They face free falling Stoke this weekend, who are playing atrociously defensively right now.
If Bournemouth are going to get anything out of this game, you would expect Afobe to be at the forefront of that.
